Max Bregitzer Max is the wife of Lee Bregitzer and helps manage Columbine Animal Hospital. She graduated from Purdue University where she majored in elementary education and math. Her special baby is her dachshund Rosie. Max enjoys numerous volunteer activities, dancing, playing bridge and most of all, she enjoys taking care of her grandchildren. She is also an avid sports fan.

Karen Thomas

Karen is a member of our receptionist team at Columbine Animal Hospital and represents our welcoming committee. She has been a part of the staff for the past twelve years. Karen enjoys spending time with her large family, especially her grandchildren. She also has an extensive animal family including two dogs, bird, and many fish. Karen loves to be involved with people and animals. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as swimming.

Michele is our Office Manager and is a certified veterinary technician and a graduate of Bel-Rea Institute. Her special interests as a veterinary technician include microbiology and laboratory testing. She has two dogs, "Kylie" a golden retriever and "Brodie" a Bichon.  She also has one cat, "Dash". In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as outdoor actvities.

Marilyn Wessel

Marilyn is a graduate of the Bel-Rea Institute as a certified veterinary technician. Most impressively though, she is a retired Naval Officer, having spent 20 years in the Navy. Marilyn has a beautiful chocolate lab named "Cindy."  This lovely dog is the center of Marilyn's life. Marilyn plays a very important role in our communications and follow up with clients. She has her bachelor's degree from College of Mt. Joseph on the Ohio and her Masters degree in national security affairs from the U.S. Naval College.

Nicky Radis

Nicky is a certified veterinary technician and graduated from Bel-Rea Institue.  She has an adorable pit bull terrier named Gigi and a very handsome Maine Coon cat.  She is a native Coloradan, and loooves anything that is camo.  Nicky loves helping animals everyday, and someday may consider helping abused animals by working as an animal control officer.

 

Cassandra Mestas

 Cassie plays a unique role at Columbine Animal Hospital. She is a trained veterinary assistant, so she helps us in that role, as well as working as a receptionist as needed.  She graduated from Pickens Technical College with her veterinary assistant degree.  Her 2 dogs, Kyah, a PomChi, and Susie, a Shih-tzu mix, are her life, going everywhere with her.  Outside of work, they like to go camping, hiking, and sightseeing. Cassie has always wanted to be a part of helping animals, whether they are hurt, scared, or under appreciated.  "Animals smile, and when I see that, I know that I've done my job." 

Ashley Cammack

Ashley is a graduate from Community College of Denver and is a certified veterinary technician.  In her free time, Ashley loves spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, backpacking, and riding her Harley.  She has a yellow lab named "Bogart", and a Bengal/Tabby mix named "Kazbah.

Nicky Radis

Lauren Duda

Lauren was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and received her bachelors degree in biology from Northern Arizona University.  Lauren has had a lifelong desire to work with animals and is following her passion to help both animals and the people that love them.  Lauren loves animals of all shapes and sizes, but horses are her passion.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, skateboarding, and riding motorcycles.

Lisa Owens

 Lisa grew up in Colorado and loves the outdoors.  She has fun fly-fishing, practicing archery and bird hunting with her husband Rick, and their 2 German Shorthair Pointer, "Nick" and "Lexi".  Lisa also loves to read non-fiction books and enjoys cooking.

Before coming to Columbine Animal Hospital as one of our receptionists, she was a certified ScrumMaster and worked closely with software developers and testers to create and deliver software for a local 401(k) record keeping firm.
